Today at the market a woman came up to me and told me she's been drinking green tea instead of drinking coffee. She said she hated the tea because it tasted grassy and that it was awful. I asked her if she was drinking loose leaf tea. She said she was drinking green tea in tea bags from the grocery store. She was putting boiling water on the bag and steeping it for four minutes. I explained that first of all, if you drink loose leaf tea, all of it is good for you and above all , you should enjoy it. If you don't like it, there are many, many choices out there to try. Secondly, loose leaf tea grown at high elevations is high in antioxidants. Green tea should be steeped in 180-185 degree water and if it's too strong, only steep it for 2 minutes or 1 minute depending on the taste you want. If you don't have a thermometer, wait about 2 minutes after the water has boiled to use it for your tea. Please at least try loose leaf tea. I'm telling you that the difference is amazing and you will find a whole new world will open up to you! There are so many teas! White tea, Green Tea, Yellow Tea, Oolong Tea, Black teas and Dark Teas. Then you can try myriad of herbal teas as well. Of all the tea that is out there, there has to be one that you can enjoy, one that you just can't wait to drink. No one should have to suffer through a tea drinking experience ever!

I am happy to help in any way I can and if I don't know the answer, I will find out. So please, for the love of tea, drink loose leaf! Write your question in the comment section of my blog or email me. I will get back to you. Tea can and should be a wonderful experience not something you have to do. Believe me when I tell you, there is something out there that is good for you that you will enjoy drinking. I hope this helps someone somewhere with their tea drinking.
