Tea Wallets

I had hoped to have the new tea wallets in the store by now. I have been working on them as I am able but this week has proven to be somewhat difficult. The glass in the door of our woodstove cracked. Wood is our primary source of heat. We ran the furnace and it tried to keep up but unfortunately  it was 25 below zero! I can't explain this experience other than to say that it was not fun at all. As luck would have it the glass wasn't under warantee. My husband and I decided to try using a cookie sheet. I held the cookie sheet while he cut it with the tin snips to fit over the cracked glass. We were quite proud of ourselves until the next morning when he found a pretty good sized melted piece of the cookie sheet. By this time, the new glass was supposed to be in so I called to check on it only to find out that they hadn't ordered it!!! I took the door to a local welding place and he was able to put a piece of metal in place of the glass. I am so very thankful for this. Right now we are having an ice storm. Tomorrow the temperatures are slated to go below zero again. Thankfully, we are nice and warm because we have our stove in working order. We do find it strange though. It's amazing how quickly one gets used to seeing the fire. With the metal door, we keep thinking the fire is out. Anyway, I just cut out several more tea wallets and I'm finishing up three. I will try to get them into our online store as soon as I can. If you want to purchase a tea wallet and are waiting to see what's available, please send me an email and I can let you know what's available.
